The aim of the "Europe-Russia: global issues and strategies" masters course is to train students into actors of the cooperation between Europe and Russia by providing them with necessary theoretical knowledge on the Russian world and by allowing them to apply their skills in a Russian professional environment. It is open to students with a Bachelor's degree and a good command of the Russian language. The university course provides in-depth knowledge of the institutional environment of contemporary Russia. Immersion in the Russian world is achieved through concrete integration into the Russian academic system and the compulsory end-of-study internship in Russia.

This course leads to the awarding of two diplomas: a Master's degree from Sciences Po Bordeaux and a Master's degree from the People's Friendship University of Moscow. The classes consist of half Russian students and half French students.

-- Main training and research components --

Year 1 at Sciences Po Bordeaux: European political and economic integration, political and socio-economic characteristics of contemporary Russia.

Year 2 in Moscow: Russian political and economic system, research dissertation, internship of several months in a Russian company or organisation.

Additional information

Allows access to the master's degree of the People's Friendship University ; training recognized across the Russian Federation ;  and access to the doctoral program of the university.

The rehabilitated historic centre has lost none of its past splendour and grandeur.

The People's Friendship University is world-renowned. Founded with a desire for international openness, it has developed recognized expertise in the teaching of Russian. Today, foreign students from all over the world graduate alongside Russian students attracted by the openness of this university.

Situated in the south-western suburbs of the capital, and easily accessible thanks to the impressive Moscow Metro network, the University is located in the heart of a large university estate; it has vast premises, numerous sports facilities, and student residences.

Admission

Access condition

The course is open to students with a bachelor's degree and a good command of Russian. Candidacy to the Europe-Russia: global issues and strategies program at Sciences Po Bordeaux is reserved for non-Russian students. For administrative reasons, Russian students will be invited to apply to the program through the People's Friendship University of Moscow.
