This method conference aims to highlight the large variety of theoretical approaches to the social and solidarity economy used in social science. More specifically we will look at the contributions of political science and sociology.
Requirements: Basic knowledge in the field of social and solidarity economy, basic knowledge in political science and sociology of public action, and of collective initiatives. Skills: capacity to summarize, a good command of presentation-discussion techniques, ability to produce summary reports.
An introductory session will present the topics and issues that the method conference will cover (diversity of SSE approaches and contributions from political science and sociology). The following sessions will be structured around individual or collective student presentations, followed by a collective discussion and a synthesis proposed by the teacher. Student assessments are based on the oral presentation and a summary report on the topic chosen.
