Agricultural and rural development projects

This class aims to present the risks to which farmers are exposed and the tools developed to guard against them. We will address the specificities of the functioning of agricultural markets before detailing the nature of the different risks that can influence agricultural activity. Finally, we will present and discuss the risk management tools implemented in industrialized and developing countries, and will focus more particularly on pilot insurance mechanisms for small farmers.
