The focus of this class is not theoretical knowledge but rather to enable students, particularly through situational simulations, to form a clearer idea of the daily life of an elected official or his/her office. For example, how are elements of language developed? How does one convey political issues to the general public? How does one concretely manage a crisis situation? How does one achieve or enhance the acceptability of a decision or public policy? These are all situations that await students should they choose to work in the political sphere.
