Urban data policies

Presentation

This class aims to present the main issues related to the expansion of digital and data technologies in the territories. Far from being a simple technical transformation, digital technology has social, economic, and political effects that disrupt pre-existing balances. Thus, this class aims to provide some keys to understanding these transformations. Personal data, regulation of digital platforms, the ecological cost of digital technology, are all controversial issues raised in the media and political debate, and which students will examine.
