Various topics are discussed, related alternately to issues specific to German-speaking countries and to questions specific to the students’ Master's courses. German-language publications are used in order to extend the students’ vocabulary to terms related to their fields of specialization. In the advanced-level classes, we also study literary and philosophical texts in order to help the students broaden their lexical range and grasp how poetic power can be achieved when using a foreign language.

Topics are examined in various ways, with priority given to working groups with different tasks and role-playing. Students make one oral presentation per year (they are grouped according to their Masters’ specialization) on a theme of their choice related to their Masters’ specialization.
