The main purpose of the Journalism Master's degree (JO) is to prepare students for entrance exams to the main French schools of journalism that operate in partnership with Sciences Po Bordeaux: the École supérieure de journalisme de Lille [ESJ], the Centre de formation des journalistes de Paris [CFJ], the Institut pratique du journalisme de Paris [IPJ] and the Institut de journalisme Bordeaux-Aquitaine [IJBA].
The classes taught as part of this Master's program are delivered in coordination with journalists. They prepare for all the written and oral tests included in the entrance exams to the schools of journalism: current affairs, French, English, current topics, synopsis, free speech, film reviews, investigative reporting...
They aim to enable students to acquire good methodological and writing skills, to develop their interest in keeping up with "the news".
