The purpose of this class is to study contemporary Europe through the issue of cultural areas: how is the division into cultural areas relevant for understanding the major political, economic and social issues at stake for the European continent?

Recommended Prerequisite(s)

Students are required to have good knowledge of the European geography as well as political and economic systems.
