Macroeconomics

Presentation

This course presents the different aspects of modern macro-economic analysis. It will cover the study of behaviour (consumption, savings, investment, employment, expectation formation, etc.), the examination of economic problems (unemployment, public and external deficit, inflation, growth, etc.) and the analysis of the policies best able to solve them. For each issue, the developments that have occurred during the contemporary period will be discussed and international comparisons will be used extensively in this process. The course will begin with an overview of macroeconomics, followed by a study of the basic concepts of macroeconomics, and will proceed with short-term, as well as long-term macroeconomic analysis.
