LVB – Arabic
Presentation
The objective of this class is to develop the students’ knowledge of the Arab world: geography, history, culture, contemporary society. On the basis of these topics: reinforcing the students’ command of basic linguistic skills; developing their lexical and syntactic skills; developing their ability to speak at length; oral interaction.
Recommended Prerequisite(s)
A2 + level.
A good command of the basic linguistic tools: Syntax of nominal sentences and verbal sentences, verb conjugation in all tenses and moods, isolated pronouns and affixes, correct agreements, nominal and verbal morphology, negation (nominal and verbal sentences), completive markers (of purpose, of cause).

Educational formula
Study of authentic and diverse documents on Arab countries, and more particularly on Morocco, with the aim to gain a better understanding of contemporary society (current political, economic, social and cultural events). Audio and audio-visual documents, extracts from literary texts, press, etc.
Emphasis is placed on oral expression in class. Personal work must be consistent and thorough and may be evaluated.
