This class covers the full economics syllabus for the ENA entrance examinations, and overlaps with that of the entrance exam to the category A+ of the Civil Service prepared by the students in the “ENA Objectif” course: micro and macroeconomics, economic policy, international economics. Each of the 12 weekly sessions of the economics class covers a particular theme or subject that may be proposed in the competitive examination(s).
For students to be able to absorb the large amount of knowledge taught, they need to have participated in economics classes throughout their studies or, at least, to have gained a good command of the basics of economics and economic policies through reading and summary notes in the months preceding the start of the school year.
This class is intended to be interactive and to serve the following objective, i.e. the students' success in the competitions: the students must prepare the sessions by reading a documentary file and drawing up a plan covering each of the topics studied: in doing so, they are invited to speak, to argue, to collectively draw up a plan structure, to identify problems and issues; the students are also gradually trained to draw up economic reports: to formulate a diagnosis and make operational proposals in the framework of a public order.
